AUTHOR David Chaffe brought some very special guests to Lydford Primary School recently.

David Chaffe brought along his barn owl, Phantom, and talked to pupils about owls and otters ? David is author of the book Stormforce, the story of an otter.

He spent time in an interesting discussion with older pupils about the need to conserve and sustain wildlife.

The event was sponsored by the National Trust at Lydford Gorge and begun with a presentation to the school, by Mrs Brenda Hague from Lydford Gorge, of eight copies of the book donated by the National Trust.
