DEVON County Council has been forced to cancel the Dartmoor Sunday River bus network and Bikebus service on Sunday because of the current fuel shortages.

This was due to be the last weekend of operation of these summer only bus services and the authority regrets it has had to take this action.

The services affected include the 174 from Okehampton to Moretonhampstead, the 180 Okehampton to Widecombe via Castle Drogo, the 186 Okehampton to Bude and Tintagel via Launceston and the 170 and 172 Dartmoor Circular services.

The Tamar Valley Line will still be running.

Social Services staff are identifying clients in gregtest need who require home care, day care and meals on wheels.
