A FLIPPING fun time was had by all who attended a pancake event in Tavistock Town Hall this week.

In celebration of Shrove Tuesday, Year 2 pupils at St Rumon's Infant School were invited, along with the public, to treat their tastebuds with pancakes made by master chef Peter Gorton.

At the event, organised by Tavistock BID, Peter and his team demonstrated how to make pancakes and a variety of different toppings from chocolate and cream to more healthy fruit options. To highlight the importance of being healthy while still enjoying the occasional treat, Nick Lane and Matt Smallacombe from Tavistock Sports Centre were on hand with an exercise bike to provide information and advice.

The event was deemed a success and BID members hope to hold a similar one annually.
