PETE Jarman (above), a member of Tavistock Athletic Club and Tavistock Swimming Club took part in the Perranporth Youth Challenge Aquathlon.
There were 150 children taking part which was divided into three courses depending on age. Pete took part in the long course which involved a sea swim/wade and a beach run.
The wade proved difficult for Pete, however he had a good run and was the first to finish in the U13s age group.
