THE complexities of their cats changing complexion have baffled a West Devon couple after their pet mysteriously turned bright pink! Their cat, Brumas, went out for a stroll on Friday near his home at Bratton Clovelly and when he returned, owners Philip and Joan Worth were amazed to see the nine-year-old?s white fur had turned pink. Joan said Brumas came back with a pink head, ears and down the length of his body, although his underside fur had retained its white colour. Joan said Brumas was named after the first polar bear to be born at London Zoo. She said Brumas was a little drained after being the focus of attention for television camera crews and newspaper protographers, but otherwise seemed fine and was eating well. The Worths took the cat to their vet in Launceston, who said he was in good health, though the source of the altered colour remains unclear. Theories have included the possibility that Brumas got mixed up with some form of cow treatment or children?s poster paints. The couple, who adopted Brumas after he was found on Dartmoor and taken in by the Cats Protection League, have five other cats but none of them has been affected in the same way.
