I KNOW that the sudden collapse of the Devon Pensioners Action Forum (DPAF) has upset a lot of people in Devon and other members and supporters all over the country, and at the moment no one seems to know what is happening.

However, for those who want to continue being involved; you have a choice, you can either give up the fight; accept whatever politicians and bankers do, or you can consider this suggestion

There is a Pensioner's Action Group based in Plymouth and I am still chairman of that, and we are inviting any ex DPAF members, or indeed anyone over the age of fifty and living in Devon, to consider becoming members of this group.

If there is sufficient interest then we could amend the group name to show it is county-based.

We hold monthly meetings for members locally, but for members living some distance away from Plymouth attending these meetings could be difficult.

The annual membership subscription would be £5 single / £8 double, the same as DPAF, but there is a higher rate for members able to attend meetings. We are starting to produce periodical newsletters and the format would be similar to DPAF, we will be happy to forward membership forms / details to anyone interested.

DPAF may be gone but our problems still remain, it is no good waiting for someone else to fight for us — we have to do it ourselves

Come and join us.
