DARTMOOR National Park Authority is inviting dog walkers to join in a weekend of doggy related activities as part of the Paws on Dartmoor campaign.
It promotes responsible access to Dartmoor with dog and canine health and safety awareness. The free weekend will take place at Roborough Common on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between June 8-10. The authority's 'Dartmoor to You' vehicle will be on site near the Leg O'Mutton car park in Yelverton from 11am to 3pm each day and staff will be available to provide information and advice. Visitors may pick up a copy of the 'Paws on Dartmoor' leaflet, which is full of advice and information to help keep Dartmoor a special place for dogs and their owners to visit.
National Park rangers will be leading free guided walks for dogs and owners while The Devon and Cornwall Police, West Devon Borough Council dog wardens and the Dartmoor Livestock Protection officer will offer advice to dog walkers. A professional dog trainer will provide free advice on obedience training for dogs.
To book a place on a ranger led walk, contact DNPA on 01626 831006.
