A GROUNDBREAKING initiative bringing subsidies, free advice and support to businesses in rural Devon held a major seminar in Tavistock last week.
Funded by the European Union?s Objective 2 programme, the aim of broadband4devon is to advise companies on the provision of broadband service in their area and provide subsidies to enable their connection to it.
Once companies are connected there are further subsidies for maintenance and alteration of sites as well as free business support and IT advice which is always available.
All companies in the Objective 2 area of Devon are eligible to receive subsidies - this includes Tavistock and the South Hams, Okehampton, West Devon and the North Devon and Torridge region.
