CARETAKER Pat Ware, who has kept Northlew Primary School spick and span for more than 21 years has hung up her duster for the last time.

Mrs Ware recently retired from the post and head teacher Nicola Lampe said she will be sadly missed.

?I am very sorry to see Pat go. Lots of changes have taken place at the school during the past twenty one years and Pat has done a great deal towards ensuring that all went smoothly,? she said.

Mrs Lampe and the Year Six pupils presented Mrs Ware with a gift of Dartington glass and some flowers on behalf of the school. The gift was a ?thank you? for all her dedication and hard work over such a long period.

Mrs Ware is now looking forward to spending more time with husband Bill and their family.

The position of school caretaker will now be filled by Mrs Lyn Taylor.
