THREE Kelly College Triathletes last week attended the level 3 Bike Ability course run by Devon County Council.

The course, held at the school, involved bike maintenance skills, traffic awareness and advanced cycling skills.

Junior triathletes Victoria Moore, Guy Purbrick and Sian Temple all passed with flying colours.  

Kelly College headmaster Dr Graham Hawley said: 'This a terrific initiative; it ensures cyclists have the skills they need to ride on the roads safely.

'It not only gives peace of mind to our staff and parents but also has been great fun for our pupils.

'Our aim is to introduce bike ability into our Saturday morning activities for all our interested pupils.'

The school is aiming to develop links with Tavistock Wheelers and to build on the progress cycling is making in the town.
