MID Devon Pony Club members had a great day at Kelly College on Sunday for the Spooners PC branch triathlon.

Laurie Bilton continued his fine form, finishing third in a competitive mini boys class. His brother, Rob and Oli Tayton did well in the 9yrs and under class, while junior girls, Kate Bilton, Fay Hirst and Elinor Townshend all finished the season in fine style, with Kate adding three metres to her personal best swim.

The club also had six competing in the parents and supporters class.

The class was well supported, with five teams and with three Mid Devon ladies in one team and three dads in another.

There were outstanding performances in the shoot from Anna Wright and a great run from Ali Hirst that saw her finish in fifth individually. It was the dads — Chris Bilton, Chris Townshend and Simon Hirst — who came second - beating the ladies, Anna Wright, Ali Hirst and Clare Moody, into third place.
