THE Cancer Spoon stableford was played at Okehampton Golf Club in wet and windy weather on September 22.
This was reflected in the scores, with Pam Jarman winning the Cancer Spoon and silver division with an outstanding score of 33 points in the very difficult conditions.
Second in the silver was Penny Deakin, 30 points. Winning the bronze was Maureen Howe, 30 points, second was Pat Kirby.
Friday September 24 saw the finals of the Express and Echo foursomes stableford, held at Exeter Golf and Country Club. Two teams from Okehampton had qualified, Pam Jarman and Janet Hatch, also finishing in eighth place with 32 points, were Penny Deakin and Cherry James.
