DEVON Artsculture has brought together two of the counties most talented landscape artists at a new exhibition at the Salar Gallery in Hatherleigh. Royal Academician Ashton Chadwick and Palm Art Award 2005 prize winner Judi Morto are exhibiting together at the gallery from today (Thursday) until September 16. ?Essence ~ Light ~ Place? is an exhibition of recent oil paintings, pastels and drawings. Both Ashton and Judi work with the landscape, addressing the qualities of light and capturing the essence of a place. Devon Artsculture projects officer, Eleanor Butland, said she was delighted to have been able to support this new exhibition. ?Devon Artsculture is always seeking opportunities to link our artists and craftspeople with venues in Devon and beyond. ?This exhibition is one of those events that strengthens links between local professional artists and galleries. ?We?re very pleased to be working with the Salar Gallery,? she said. The gallery opening times are: Tuesday ? Saturday 10am until 5pm (closed 1pm to 2pm) and Wednesdays 10am until 1pm.
