THERE was a good attendance at Tavistock Town Hall last Friday when all five candidates in the West Devon and Torridge seat faced the public at an Any Questions? session. It was chaired by Philip Davies, chairman of Dartmoor Tourist Association, which organised the event. Subjects debated included wind turbines, hunting, crime, passive smoking, licensing laws, transport and health. It was one of several Any Questions? held throughout the constituency. The first was at Chagford, and yesterday (Wednesday) there was one at Okehampton, organised by the town?s churches. Among those attending the event were six students from Kelly College who are standing in mock elections to be held at the school on polling day.
