DESPITE recent reports in the press that the post of the community outreach worker at Okehampton Citizen's Advice Bureau might be saved through Devon County Council's multi-million investment for the voluntary and community sector, further funds have not been found and I was made redundant on March 8.

I have been overwhelmed by the support I have been shown and would like to express my sincere thanks to all colleagues, clients and staff from both the statutory and voluntary sectors who have worked so hard to try to keep my post in place.

I hope that I will be fortunate enough to find further employment in which I can serve the community in such a positive way.
