Cara Enwright-Wells from Gunnislake is proving herself quite an outstanding student. The 18 year old, who is taking a course in media production at Plymouth College of Further Education, last week received an award for the 'most outstanding media student'. The award, sponsored by the Herald newspaper, has been awarded to recognise Cara's work at the college. She received it from guest of honour Richard George, the chief executive of Goss Interactive. Judges said of Cara: 'She has exhibited outstanding commitment to her media studies. A good example of this was when she single-handedly made a children's television programme over the Easter holidays when most students left the filming unit until they returned to college.' Cara also ran her own weekly programme on the college's radio station. She is currently taking a year out of her education and hopes to travel before joining university next September to study for a degree in media production.
