I WOULD like to thank Times Letters (June 2) for drawing attention to the appeal date for the development proposal at Butcher Park Hill.
The application for the 110 houses is outside the planning boundary set by West Devon Borough Council, which has already identified a five-year supply of land for future development.
It is also a greenfield site at the top of a steep hill with no facility for road widening. Vehicles already use this road as a race track going down and lorries struggle to get up the hill. The road will only get harder and harder to cross with the increased traffic.
I have lodged my objections to the multiple applications and appeals for the development of this site and will continue to join with Tavonians in opposing the development at the appeal on June 14 to 17 in the council offices.
S Reynolds,
Tavistock
