ONE of the region's most accomplished painters has joined the resident artists at Duchy Square Centre for Creativity in Princetown — as a print maker.
Now visitors to Duchy Square will get the chance to see examples of both her painting and print skills when she stages her Open Studio events at the centre this Saturday and Sunday, November 13 and 14.
Heidi is no stranger to Duchy Square as her vibrant, contemporary abstract prints and paintings were on display in the centre's main gallery in September last year, when she received widespread acclaim for the works.
Heidi will be working on a variety of print making projects of her own, as well as using the Duchy Square workspace to teach mono printing - and other print disciplines in a series of workshops.
Heidi said: 'Taking workspace at the centre will enable me to reach a wider audience and give me a greater capacity to teach on a small scale. I am really looking forward to getting new creative inspiration from the stunning moorland that surrounds Duchy Square"
Born in Germany in 1964, Heidi, who lives in Tavistock, attained a first class honours degree in fine art printmaking at Brighton University, before going on to study for a postgraduate diploma of fine art printmaking at Slade School of Fine Art.
She has staged a number of solo exhibitions over the last decade, including the CCA Galleries in London, Oxford's Inspires Gallery and at a number of venues in the Westcountry.
