STAFF and students at Tavistock's Mount House School are celebrating success, after this year's sixth formers have achieved a 100% pass rate in common entrance to senior schools.

Fourteen pupils out of the year group of 36 have between them won 16 scholarship awards to the schools of their choice.

Head girl Isobel Norris, who lives at Lifton, will be joining Sherborne School for Girls with a major academic scholarship. Isobel will be joined at Sherborne School for Girls by Eloise Kidner, Imogen Galsworthy and Georgina Newman. Jamie Redfarn from Yelverton will be going to Eton, and Lucy Telfer-Smollett, whose home is at Okehampton, will continue her education at Cheltenham Ladies' College. Sherborne School for Boys will be the next destination for Oliver Sale, from Peter Tavy, who has won an academic exhibition and major sports scholarship. He will be joined by Freddie Cave, William MacEacharn, Michal Choroszewski from Callington and Alexander Majorin from Whitchurch.

Ruairidh Matthews will be moving to Wells Cathedral School, having won a major music award, while King's College Taunton will be the next school for Tavistock's Harry Sharp and Ralph Lawson, who lives at Sampford Spiney. Freddie Morris from Crapstone and Alexander Woolcock from Yelverton will be moving to Blundells,while Louisa Butcher from Yelverton and Jonny Goff-White who lives at Peter Tavy go to Kelly College and Olivia McGonigle from Hoo Meavy is joining Plymouth College.
