JOIN hundreds of bikers as they hit Dartmoor for a day of thrills, hills, mud and sweat, taking to the rugged terrain to raise funds for St Luke's Hospice in the St Luke's Tour de Moor next month.

The Tour de Moor, sponsored by Itec, will take place on Sunday, October 13 at Harrowbeer Airfield, near Yelverton.

From the leisurely seven mile fun cycle of Drakes Trail, to the brave challenge of a 35-mile route to Princetown and an intermediate 15-miler, there is sure to be something for riders of all abilities.

The Tour de Moor promises to be a great family day out with activities to keep the children entertained.

Event fundraiser at St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth Emma Winter said: 'This is fast becoming one of our largest and most popular activities in our events calendar. This year we are boasting a brand new location, new routes and have improved the overall infrastructure, parking and registration to make it the best yet! Everybody loves getting on their bike and the Tour de Moor is the perfect way to combine a great activity with helping to raise money for St Lukes.'

The event will cost £15 to enter for adults (aged 17 and over), £7.50 for children (aged nine and over) and £37.50 for a family (two adults and two children aged under 16). The course is not open for children under nine.

All participants will receive a chip to track their progress and time.
