AN ART Trail Exhibition at the Duchy Square Centre for Creativity in Princetown will give a taster of the work on offer at arts organisations on Dartmoor featured in a new Arts Trail brochure.

Twelve diverse arts organisations have come together to make the brochure.

Sponsored by the newly opened Duchy Square Centre, it is available in all the centres taking part. The idea is to create a trail that locals or visitors to the area can follow to view all the arts centres available on Dartmoor.

These range from small studios of individual artists like Anne Read's mosaic studio plus Penny Simpson's pottery studio in Moretonhampstead and Joss Hibbs Powder Mills Pottery near Postbridge to the larger, more established organisations like Devon Guild of Craftsmen in Bovey Tracey, Delamore Gallery and Sculpture Courtyard near Cornwood and the Duchy Square Centre for Creativity.

Smaller galleries are also included with South West Crafts and Elford Fine Art in Tavistock to Contemporary Studio Pottery and Ludgate Fine Art gallery in Chagford, plus Artworks in South Brent. The Mythic Garden Sculpture Exhibition that is open from May until October in the arboretum is also included.

The taster exhibition with examples of some of the work will run from May 2 to June 15 and will be open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm.

Brochures are available at the participating organisations or phone 01822 890828 or visit http://www.duchysquare.org">www.duchysquare.org for more information.
