CHILDREN'S Hospice South West (CHSW) is on the lookout for some helpful elves to volunteer at its Santas on the Run on Sunday, December 14 in Launceston.
Volunteers are required to be static, walking or running marshals at key points around the 2km route around the town as well as help with registration.
Marshals will need to contact Little Harbour prior to the event to register their interest and be allocated roles.
On the day they will need to be registered and ready by 10am, the run will start at 11am and will be completed by midday.
Sarah Stott, events fundraiser for CHSW, ssaid: 'We simply could not run our events or anything we do at CHSW without our dedicated volunteers.
'They are so important and really do help to make it all happen – and they have a great time too!
'I would like to thank everyone who has already signed up to be a marshal and encourage anyone who is thinking about it to give me a call.'
If you are interested in being a marshal for Santas on the Run then please call Little Harbour on 01726 871800 or email sarah.stott@ chsw.org.uk
This is the second year that the sponsored fun run has been held in Launceston. After the success of last year's event, which saw almost 250 Santas take to the streets, raising in the region of £4,500, the CHSW team are looking forward to bringing the event back.
If you are interested in taking part as a Santa on the Run then there is still time to register which costs just £10 per person or £25 per family of four and can be completed via http://www.chsw.org.uk/santas">www.chsw.org.uk/santas
Registration includes a free Santa suit as well as a medal and festive treat at the end of the run.
The route is a 2km circular route which you can run, jog or walk, starting and finishing in the square.
All funds raised from the event will go towards the care and support given to the children with life limiting conditions and their families that CHSW support through their 'hospice by the sea'; Little Harbour in St Austell.
