A FORMER Okehampton College student has been playing his part in the war in Iraq as he serves with RAF?s Tactical Imagery Intelligence Wing at Ali Al Salem Airbase, Kuwait.
Corporal Al Goffey, an intelligence analyst, has been in the RAF for six years. During Operation Telic, he worked long hours dressed in full nuclear biological and chemical clothing, examining aerial imagery for anything of intelligence value.
Al, who has also served in Turkey, Northern Ireland and Oman, was a former member of Okehampton ATC Squadron. He enjoys playing hockey and helps run a scout group at his base at RAF Marham, Norfolk.
