Many young swimmers from Tavistock Swimming Club had a coaching session with Olympic swimmer, Helen Slatter on Sunday when the club held an Olympic workshop.
These sessions are being held all over the country to help send the British team to Sydney.
Helen gave an impressive demonstration, which must have been inspirational to the young swimmers, followed by a coaching session. Their attention was certainly held 100 per cent by Helen who gave a talk afterwards and answered many questions.
She presented certificates to the swimmers who had taken part. At the end of an interesting and educational evening club chairman Ian Smith thanked Helen for taking time from her busy training schedule to visit and on behalf of the club wished her well in her swimming career.
The swimmers hope to raise more than £400 to assist the Olympic team and are well on target to achieving this aim.
