PUPILS from South Tawton Primary School will discover they are allowed to talk in class when they take part in a BT Education Performance next week.

The education programme is designed to help develop children?s effective speaking and listening skills in the context of real life situations ? valuable skills they will need at school, at home and at work in the future.

Theatrical communications company CragRats Ltd have been employed by BT to deliver the live roadshow where children meet larger then life families ?the Muddles? and ?the Crystals?

The show compares the communication skills of each family in a fun and interactive way and features ?Talkdog? who will act as a guide, helping the show?s characters improve their communication skills.

The programme, coming to South Tawton next Tuesday, is aimed at children aged nine to eleven and the 30-minute live drama, dance and music performance will be followed by an hour-long interactive workshop.

Each child will receive a certificate and enter a competition, have the chance to participate in web projects and the school will be presented with a pack to follow up the roadshow.

THE BT education programme, which is worth £2,000 but is being provided free to schools, will visit more than 10,000 schools by May 2003.
