FORMER members of the Royal Observer Corps 10 Group reunited recently to mark the 20th anniversary of the general stand down of the corps.

The event at Trethorne Leisure Farm was also held to celebrate the 25 years since the formation of the Royal Observer Corps Association (ROCA) for ex members.

The 10 Group was well represented by 24 members from all areas of Devon and Cornwall, including the area representative Jenny Morris, the founder member of 10 Group Royal Observer Corps Association John Shrimpton and 10 Group ROCA chairman Tony Child.

It was also 70 years since the title was granted to the corps by King George VI for services rendered in the Battle of Britain and 70 years of women joining the corps.
