Not much of a welcome to town?

THERE is clearly a plan afoot to make Tavistock totally inaccessible to the outside world.

We have the ?Rural Gateway? and the peculiar new mini roundabout from the Yelverton direction, pressure for restrictions from the Lamerton direction, and illogical speed limits on the Okehampton road.

I regret that like many other locals I find Tavistock an inhospitable town only to be visited when absolutely necessary. Pity really because the inhabitants are generally very pleasant.
