DJM U12s Hood Tavistock Town U12s 1 Torpoint Youth   U12s 4 Tavistock only had nine players for this fixture through injuries and other commitments, against top flyers Torpoint but those that played each gave a 100 per cent. With only three at the back the defence kept great discipline with captain Will Carter, Rhys Merriott and in form Danny Hamill. Tavistock held Torpoint for most of the first half, until two shots, which both bobbled in front of goalkeeper Josh McDonald in goal, to make it 2-0 to the Cornish team. Town kept on battling, Seth MacNamara worked hard and tracked back to help the defence all the game. Billy Barriball and Ben Cole used their pace and skill to put pressure on the opposition. In the second half Tavistock had the wind with them and played as if they had 11 men. Luke Shalgosky in a holding roll with Rob Bone made some great tackles and passes, but five minutes into the first half Torpoint scored again. However, Tavistock's heads did not drop and they were rewarded when Ben Cole beat the keeper to pull one back with a great goal.  One of the best moments was when Torpoint had a clear chance to score but Tavistock player of the match Rhys Merriott scrambled back to head the goal bound ball off the line — earning him applause from both sets of supporters.
