A NEW horse show, whose proceeds will benefit two animal charities, takes place near Yelverton on Sunday, September 25.

The Lovaton Fun Horse and Pony Show, will be held in a field near Lovaton on the Yelverton to the Cadover road.

Organiser Tricia Powell said: 'The show is all about having fun with your horse and fellow riders whilst raising money for charities. No showing gear? No problem. This is a 'no jacket required' kind of show. Just turn up in your smart riding gear making sure your horse and tack are clean and tidy.

'Everyone should come along and have some fun with their horse and not take it too seriously. There will be classes for all ages and all types of horses and ponies.

The show starts at 10 am. Although there are no show jumping classes ,there will be a few novelty classes that involve a jump or two including a bombproof obstacle course for horses.  Also there will be a novelty dog show starting at 1pm.' 

All proceeds from the event will be shared between Hoofbeats Equine Rehabilitation Sanctuary and Canine Epilepsy Support Group.
