CAR drivers are being warned they could face penalties if they continue to contravene the No Entry signs at the junction of Northfield Road and North Road.
There is a one-way system in place and police say although the No Entry signs are clearly visible car drivers are still ignoring the signs to obtain easy access to the town.
The police have received complaints from local residents and PC Bob Watt has asked for their help in taking the registration numbers of offending vehicles.
'This will be followed up and appropriate action taken,' he said.
Failing to comply with a road traffic sign carries a fixed penalty of £20.
