THE Rt Rev John Ford, Bishop of Plymouth, joined with the West Dartmoor Benefice last Friday evening at their service of celebration to welcome the Rev Nick Shutt as Rector and the Rev Nicola Hunt as Team Vicar.

The regular members of the congregations were joined by friends from neighbouring churches, civil parishes, local schools and a large contingent from the cubs, scouts, brownies and guides.

The singing was led enthusiastically by the large newly formed benefice choir.

Bishop John addressed the congregation and encouraged all to look forward to this new chapter in the life of the West Dartmoor Benefice.
