THE contract for the call handling and clinical assessment elements of the new NHS 111 service in Devon, Plymouth and Torbay has been awarded to Devon Doctors Ltd and South Western Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust — subject to contract finalisation.

They will deliver urgent care needs to patients from April 2013.
