THE recent lunch, held on Sunday July 18, in aid of the Chestnut Appeal, raised £525 for the fund. It took place at the Green Dragon Inn by invitation of the landlord, Joan Palmer.

Libby and Marcus Barrett, as well as several willing helpers, organised the lunch, which was much enjoyed.

THE annual parish outing this year was to Looe. A busload had a good day on the beach and around the town in pretty fair weather. Arrangements were made by Marg Rundle.

Two days later the coffee and chat club had their outing to Perranporth. This time they were not so lucky as far as the weather went, having rain during the afternoon. However, a good time was had by all. Arrangements were made by Marlene Mahoney and Marj Brown.

CELEBRANT and preacher at parish communion was the Vicar. Mrs D Porter was organist and J Spry sidesman. Lessons were read by Mrs I Stratton and Mrs L Gratton. Coffee was served by Mrs P Carter after the service.

The preacher at evening prayer was the Rev John Peak. Organist was D Chivers and L Andrew the sidesman. Lessons were read by Mrs R Eveleigh and Mrs P Durston.
