TOMORROW (Friday) will see the start of the next jive course for beginners at Tavistock Town Hall. 

This will be the eigth time that this very popular course has been staged at the hall.  The first course was in June 2006 and since then the course tutor, Malcolm White and his wife and dance partner Heather, have taught 236 local people to jive to 1950's style rock 'n' roll. 

The course in September starts with a free taster session tomorrow at 7.30pm.  This is the chance to sample jive before committing to the eight-week course that starts on Wednesday September 9.  The cost of the course is £40 per person.
