A BUCKLAND Monachorum resident is appealing to cat owners in the area who may have lost their moggy to get in contact with her — before feline warfare gets out of control!

Sian Greenstock said a large, very vocal black cat had been hanging around her rural home for about a month before she gave in and fed her.

Sian said: 'Somebody must be missing her, she's a lovely cat, she's incredibly vocal.

'She's obviously had a lot of affection, but she's coming into the house now and we've got four cats — she's driving them insane, there's war going on, so I need to find her owner!'

Sian said the cat, which seems quite young, has not been microchipped. She has checked with local vets, the Cats Protection League, put notices in the shops at Yelverton and asked around all the houses in the immediate area, which is about half a mile from Buckland, towards Long Ash, but so far no-one has reported the cat missing.

Sian said: 'She's very friendly, she's fine with dogs — she's a gorgeous cat and if I didn't already have four of my own, plus the two dogs, I'd probably keep her!'
