THE first-born of the New Year was delivered at the maternity unit at Okehampton Community Hospital last weekend.
Mum Frances Auty and dad David Walker were delighted with the arrival of Wilfred Hugo, who weighed in at 8lb 12oz.
Frances went into Okehampton Community Hospital on Saturday afternoon and Wilfred was born just before 1am on Sunday January 11.
The couple, from Coleford, near Copplestone, thanked all the staff at the hospital, in particular midwives Di Timms and Odette Parsons.
