DARTMOOR National Park Authority will 'take the moor to Devon' with the purchase of a new outreach vehicle.

With funding assistance from Devon County Council's Investing in Devon grant scheme, the DNPA has purchased a vehicle to provide new opportunities to take Dartmoor to Devon communities.

The DNPA believes the vehicle will enhance opportunities for a wide range of national park authority staff to further engage with the public, reach new audiences, help on the delivery of awareness programmes and provide opportunities for DNPA's key partners, to jointly promote shared activities.

Cllr Christine Marsh, a Devon County Council appointed representative on the DNPA, said: 'Dartmoor is an important part of Devon.

'This new outreach vehicle will provide innovative opportunities to take information to audiences that may not have previously visited the national park, and help tackle some of the barriers that prevent people visiting this wonderful local resource.'
