A BATCH of new recruits have recently been enrolled into 2312 (Tavistock) Squadron Air Cadets.

Seven cadets completed instruction in basic drill, care of uniform, the history of the ATC and rifle shooting. The cadets from Tavistock and district were enrolled by the squadron chaplain the Rev Steven Martin.

Squadron CO John Olver said: ‘It is always pleasing to be able to enrol new cadets. I hope they will take advantage of all the opportunities the air cadets offer. Both our unit and 2443 (Okehampton) Squadron have vacancies for cadets to start the summer training programme. There are also opportunities for adults to become instructors. No service experience is required. The air cadetsis a great hobby for adults as well as young people.’
