Okehampton Columbines 1 Chudleigh 5 CHUDLEIGH were the more experienced side and this was reflected in the scoreline. However, in terms of possession and endeavour the honours went to Okehampton who played the better team hockey. Grace Thorpe and Hannah Whiteley worked very hard on the forward line and it was Grace?s cross which led to Okehampton?s goal. Unfortunately, the Columbines were already 3-0 down at that time. In defence Alex Collins, Jenny Humphrey and Amanda Sims passed sensibly and there was a relaxed fluidity about their play, with the support of Carol Taylor, who did extremely well in goal despite normally playing outfield. Chudleigh were good on the break but the scoreline flattered them. Columbines are always looking for new players.
