LIFTON Sports Club will be throwing the doors open at its brand new pavilion at 3.30pm on Saturday 4 September, as junior footballers and club officials unveil some of the most modern facilities in the area.

Thanks to a £86,240 grant from the Football Foundation, the UK?s largest sports charity, the Sports Club has replaced a dilapidated 1920?s pavilion at the Recreation Field, with a new multi room complex, giving a much needed boost to the development of the game in Devon, particularly amongst women, girls, juniors and disabled players.

Peter Lee, chief executive of the Football Foundation, said: ?On behalf of the Foundation I wish Lifton Sports Club the very best of luck, I have no doubt this outstanding new facility will provide thousands of players every season with the type of facilities they, and all our communities, deserve.?
