A NEW chairman of Okehampton Liberal Democrats was elected at the group's annual meeting recently.
Peter Webb takes on the position after the resignation of Tony Gregory due to work commitments.
Mr Webb joined the Liberal Party in 1963. He is married with two grown up children and has lived in Okehampton for three years.
Several forthcoming events have been arranged by the group.
They include a coffee morning in the Charter Hall on April 7, a whist drive in the church hall on April 27 and the annual constituency dinner at Okehampton Rugby Club on May 13.
