TEN new jobs have been created in West Devon, with the opening of a branch of Subway at Whiddon Down.
The new branch is at the Esso service station, just off the A30 and formspart of development plans to open 12 new stores across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Channel Islands territory during the course of 2014 — an area which is managed by regional development agent, Kevin Graham.
Kevin said: 'It's fantastic to see the Subway brand establish a presence in Whiddon Down, creating new jobs for the local area.'
Mayor of West Devon Borough Council Cllr Christine Marsh, who performed the official opening ceremony, said: 'This new store represents a consistent long-term contribution to our ongoing efforts to regenerate our local economy and I'm thrilled to have been asked to officially open the store.'
