MOUNT House School, Tavistock, has appointed a new head of the pre-prep department. Michelle Pole has taken over the position from Julia Hallinan who left in July.
Michelle studied for a B.Ed Honours at Rolle College, Exmouth, where she specialised in PE and teaching children with special educational needs. Her first teaching job was at the Church of England school at St Marychurch in Torquay.
She joined Mount House pre-prep as a reception year teacher ten years ago. Michelle progressed to Year 2, where she has worked for the past four years. She was confirmed in her new role after a rigorous selection process, competing against candidates from other schools all across the country.
Originally from Paisley, near Glasgow, Michelle is a firm believer in the philosophy that the more children enjoy their time at school, the more they learn.
