A NEW sport that's fun, simple to play and appealing to all ages is now available at Tavistock Squash Club.
Racketball is played on a squash court, using a ball with a similar bounce to a tennis ball — even better, it is easy to learn how to play, according to squash coach Malcolm Tripp.
He said: 'It is played by millions in the USA, though the British version is somewhat different.
'It is ideal for people who have played tennis, squash or badminton, and who want to try something different. It's less demanding physically than squash and would suit the over-40s — at the other end of the scale, youngsters find it easy to adapt to.'
There will be evening and day time sessions for racketball at the squash club. Rackets, tuition and more information about playing the game is available from Malcolm Tripp on 01822 615239.
