Tavistock Jets U13s 3

St Cleer U13s 1

THIS entertaining and open match began with Jets passing the ball and using both wings to good effect. Richards was on hand to clear as play flowed back and forth with long-range shots fired in from Jets? midfield.

After a spell of Jets? pressure St Cleer broke away, leaving Webber no chance, and scored. Bray had to use his pace to prevent further pressure on his goal with the match evenly balanced.

A fine cross by Russell-Wilson was met by Coulston who bravely headed in the equaliser.

Jets became more dominant as the second half wore on yet St Cleer were a constant threat. Tension rose as McCall fired in a number of free kicks, all well saved by the excellent St Cleer keeper, and goalmouth scrambles saw the ball cleared time and again.

Doyle and Taylor came on as substitutes as the pressure was maintained. Dobson, who had threatened all match, put in an early cross and Coulston was again on hand to score with a header.

Webber prevented an equaliser then the result was put beyond doubt when Coulston drove a left-foot shot into the goal following another Dobson pass.

Jets had showed their potential when they concentrate and play quality football; a vastly improved team performance.
