FOLLOWING a hugely successful tour of the UK this spring, culminating in three sell out nights at London?s 3,500 capacity Hammersmith Apollo, the hottest, brightest, award winning comedian Alan Carr will be back on the road this Autumn and heading to Plymouth Pavilions on Thursday October 18. His recent television appearances have received great critical acclaim and include ?Friday Night with Jonathan Ross?, ?Eight out of Ten Cats?, ?Countdown? and of course as brilliant co host alongside Justin Lee Collins on Channel 4?s ?The Friday Night Project?. Alan?s heartfelt and honest show takes us on his journey to adulthood. Being born into a family which focused heavily on sport, growing up was tough for Alan. His mother was a body builder and his father was the manager of the Northampton town football team and both consistently tried to get Alan enthused about sport and on to the pitch from a young age. Alan had very different aspirations however, and he definitely did not care about sport. Alan Carr certainly adds sparkle to the comedy circuit and is fast becoming a household name. At the start of his career he won the Citylife New Comedian of the Year and was then awarded BBC Best New Comedian of the Year. Having left his mark on the Edinburgh Fringe Festival he has since been busy touring the country, making highly memorable live appearances at the at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival and the Kilkenny Festival.
