A TRAIL around the remains of 19th century tin mines at Brimpts Farm, Dartmeet, has been revamped and a revised booklet produced. In the mid 1990s a trail was set up by members of the Dartmoor Tinworking Research Group at the farm, to enable visitors to study tinworkings both near the farm and on the open moor. There are two routes, one of one mile, the other three and a half miles. The new enhancements to the trail include marker posts and interpretation panels. It is hoped the trail will be used by visitors to the area as well as those interested in mining history. The trail was informally opened on Saturday.
