A PAINTER who sold 26 artworks in her first ever show has joined the team of resident artists at the Duchy Square Centre for Creativity in Princetown.

Charlie O'Sullivan has taken advantage of the work units at the centre to raise the profile of her creative business.

She is looking forward to becoming part of the Duchy Square Centre and bringing her work to a wider audience, using the centre's purpose built work units and exhibition space.

Charlie said: 'Being an artist can be a lonely existence and I believe having this studio will allow me to expand and explore new ideas.

'With a busy year ahead it is so important to have a large space in which to work and the unit and Duchy Square is ideal for that.'

The 41 year old is a graduate from Bradford School of Arts and Media and a freelance illustrator for both the BBC and Channel 4.

She describes her work as 'a fusion of overheard conversations, people, sea, landscape and my own thoughts melted together and poured onto canvas'.
