ADULT learners now have a space to call their own at Okehampton Library, with the opening of a dedicated new ‘hub’ to find out about classes held in the town.

The room was officially opened with a cake cutting ceremony on Saturday (May 11) attended by Okehampton county councillor Kevin BalI and the town’s deputy mayor Julie Yelland.

It provides a point of contact for Learn Devon, Devon County Council’s adult education service, with a reception desk that will be staffed one day a week (on a day to be decided).

Learn Devon runs classes for adults, including English and maths, at the Ockment Centre and the library in Okehampton.
