THE monthly medal at Hurdwick Golf Club was held in idyllic weather conditions last Thursday and Dave Murkin took full advantage to win the event with an excellent net 66.
In second place, with 69, was John Berry and Derek Blackmore took third position with 70. Ray Spear and Richard Berry won the ?Twos? sweep.
Saturday showed the opposite side of the coin with strong winds and penetrating rain. This reduced the points scored in this stableford competition, but there were still some good results returned.
Neil Tamblin led division one with 35 points, followed by Tony Pearson who took second place on countback from Tim Gale, both with 33 points.
Division two winner was Gerry Boyce, with 35 points. Rodney Browne was second with 33 and George Whitfield in third with 31.
The ladies? winner, by a large margin, was Sally Arscott with 34 points. In second was Val Raine with 28 and Fran Dawe was third with 27. There were no ?Twos?.
